RF/Microwave Test Engineer

Auriga Microwave, located in Chelmsford, MA, is a recognized international leader in modeling, measurement and design of RF, microwave and millimeter-wave technologies. Auriga's customers benefit from the team’s years of experience delivering cost-effective, leading-edge modules to demanding microwave solution providers.

Auriga is currently seeking an entry-level RF/Microwave Test Engineer with a working knowledge of T/R module and amplifier testing. Working with a small, tight-knit team, this person is important to maintaining our technical leadership and customer satisfaction in the highly competitive field of T/R module test. The candidate will report to Larry Smith, Director of Component Test Systems, and will interact with microwave designer, software programmer, and measurement scientist customers.

Absolute requirements (please do not apply if you do not meet all of the below):

  • US citizen capable of obtaining a US security clearance
  • Knowledge of T/R modules and/or high-frequency amplifier test principles
  • Strong communications and writing skills; comfortable presenting
  • Proficiency in one of the following: C#, Visual Basic, .Net, or any other software needed to control measurement equipment
  • Personal computer skills such as MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO and MICROSOFT OFFICE
  • Ability to work toward defined objectives with minimal direct supervision
  • Works well in a team environment

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and implementation of automated test platforms and testing procedures for new and existing products including, but not limited to, T/R modules, PAs and LNAs
  • Document all test platforms with schematics, description, settings and layout
  • Develop and maintain project timelines to ensure all key deliverables are met
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure smooth release of products into manufacturing, meeting customer requirements and establishing timelines
  • Maintain leading-edge technical proficiency and stay abreast of new trends and scientific developments in related fields
  • Some domestic travel required

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least two years’ relevant work experience in electrical engineering or computer engineering, strong programming skills in either C# or VB.Net and a working knowledge of RF/Microwave measurements.
