Senior RF/Microwave Engineer

Auriga Microwave, located in Chelmsford, MA, is a recognized international leader in modeling, measurement and design of RF, microwave and millimeter-wave technologies. Auriga's customers benefit from the team’s years of experience delivering cost-effective, leading-edge modules to demanding microwave solution providers.
 
Auriga is currently seeking a strong Senior RF/Microwave Engineer with significant experience in PA and LNA design. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this position requires cross-functional teamwork with all engineering groups and will be instrumental in helping Auriga achieve the aggressive growth goals anticipated for the next several years.

Absolute requirements (please do not apply if you do not meet all of the below):

  • 10+ years PA and/or LNA design experience with deep specialization in RF, microwave and/or millimeter-wave engineering
  • Significant GaN experience
  • MMIC design strength
  • Fluent with Agilent ADS and/or AWR Microwave Office
  • Strong communications and writing skills
  • US citizen

Ideal Experience:

  • Significant GaAs experience
  • Working knowledge of thermal and packaging analysis
  • Familiarity with communication and radar systems
  • Understands requirements and measurements for different modulation schemes used in communication, e.g., WCDMA, OFDM, GSM, etc.

Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as technical lead or principal investigator on commercial or military programs
  • Design leading-edge PAs and LNAs with a focus on small size, high power, high efficiency, wide bandwidth and/or high linearity
  • Generate necessary drawings for fixtures, circuit boards and MMIC layouts
  • Develop module and system-level integration schemes
  • Coordinate characterization and testing procedures
  • Collaborate with engineering lab technicians to analyze measurement results
  • Engage with customers to ensure complete satisfaction
  • Author or co-author proposals and interim/final reports
  • Mentor junior engineers

The ideal candidate will have an M.S. or Ph.D. in electrical engineering.
